Kitchen done! (kinda, almost, sorta)
July 25, 2006
Sadly, we only have one good picture of the kitchen before the remodel - since our laptop had a meltdown in the fall. Too bad, because the other side was really the worst. Nonetheless, today I realized that I could take an after picture now because that side of the kitchen is DONE! I love comparing the two. It makes it all worth it!

how funny–i feel like i’m in that “mash” scene where someone (frank? god,i can’t even remember now) says, “i can go in; i can go out. in, out, in, out.” old, new, old, new! it’s beautiful! is that linoleum? i’ve been thinking about doing linol for our kitchen. and i looove your dinette. really everything. perfect!

Thanks Lisa! The floor is Marmoleum click (so yes, linoleum but sooooo much easier to install). We highly recommend. I had the incredibly hard task of watching Eric install it, and it was easy. He did it in one day!

looks great! huge difference. I do the same thing look at before
and after photos of our kitchen. It’s very gratifying to see it
that way.

Sigh…when I look at this picture, I am just so envious. It is sooo beautiful. Happy 1 year anniversary in your Ranch!

Your new kitchen looks beautiful Laurie.
We also used linoleum in our kitchen redo a few years ago.
We were lucky to find a skilled installer who could inlay a
stripe around the edge of the kitchen.
Such a nice product on bare feet.
Also stands up well to the kids.
Who knows why the world switched to that tacky vinyl stuff.
Congrats on your one year in the ranch.

Heather, Thank you! It’s ironic that you sent this, because just yesterday I was walking on the kitchen floor thinking about how great it feels against bare feet and wondering why anyone would want shiny/weird vinyl when the natural linoleum is just so…cozy.
